Aquaman at NYCC

Collectors' Quest reports that among the new toy items shown off at NYCC was an action figure of Aquaman in armor based on the character design by Alex Ross in Justice.

Also mentioned at NYCC were hints that Aquaman is being considered for a new animated project after New Frontier and Teen Titans: The Judas Contract.

Aquaman #57 was shipped 17 Oct 2007. This was the final issue of the most recent Aquaman series.

Aquaman: Sword of Atlantis ended with issue #57. Joseph Curry is currently attempting to live up to Arthur Orin Curry's legacy. He has stated that he intends to find and restore the original Aquaman, or die trying.

The character of Aquaman is in limbo at DC at the moment, available for use in other projects. The editors have not decided when or how to bring him back. Rest assured, however, that he will appear with some frequency regardless of whether or not he gets his own book.
