Hey Laura, I'm Jason, your "fanboy" from a couple of Emerald City Conventions gone by. I wanted to drop you a quick note and let you know about the new July solicit for Titans that was put up on Newsarama. Let's just say there's a nice cover featuring someone you might be interested in seeing. Although seeing as how you're connected to all things Aquafamily, this may be old news to you. Cheers! JonasEel 05:36, 20 April 2009 (UTC) P.S. Any plans to update the sightings page soon? I really would like to become an Atlantean level fan at some point - or are you even still doing that?

I'll look into it. I've been busy with moving and such, and trying to get healthy over the last few months. Aquaman has been a low priority... If you'd like Atlantean level privs... hmmm, that can be arranged.

Laura, I have been a regular visitor to your site for over two years and would love to assist in any way possible....Wayne Kelley

I have a question: when was it revealed that Aquaman first met Black Manta when they were both at the orphanage? --Doop 18:57, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

It wasn't. It never happened in any Aquaman continuity. --Tegan 22:07, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
Ok, thanks. :)
I was just wondering, because a profile said "For a time [Aquaman] was forced to stay within an orphanage where he would meet his arch-nemesis to be, Black Manta, though briefly (brief enough for him not to remember manta's name): he was too sick, near death even, without sea life or the sea itself, and ran away to the ocean to be free. The experience brought his repressed memories back out, and in a short manner of painful days he had pieced together a rough idea of his origins." --Doop 03:17, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
The profile is incorrect. Aquaman wasn't at an orphanage. It's not in any existing Aquaman story that I know of. In fact, that whole entry sounds like a piece of bad fanfic. --Tegan 17:19, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
Ok.
I have another question (sorry). I was looking at some old Aquaman issues and Ocean Master had stopped being Aquaman's enemy when he discovered they were brothers. What caused him to go back to being a villain? --Doop 21:36, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
Ocean Master is completely insane. While he's got the whole "must be better than my brother" thing going, he's also just simply nuts. Every once in awhile he decides to be nice for a bit, but it never lasts. It doesn't really do much for character development, but I guess DC likes it that way.
And don't be sorry about asking questions. That's what this is here for! --Tegan 22:39, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
So in his first encounter with Aquaman after #50, there was no explanation why he was a villain again? --Doop 12:39, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
