Showcase Presents: Aquaman Volume 1

Aquaman Showcase Vol 1

When they say "Over 500 Pages of Comics!" they aren't kidding! This is a fantastic collection of Aquaman tales, starting with Aquaman's first Silver Age origin in Adventure Comics #260 and finishing with Aquaman #6, covering May of 1959 to December of 1962. Most of the artwork is by the two classic Aquaman artists, Ramona Fradon and Nick Cardy.

At $17 for the entire package of 49 stories (including a Lois Lane tale, a Green Arrow story, and a Jimmy Olsen yarn) it's a bargain. While I prefer reading these stories in color, the B&W format is fine with me if it allows more people to read these fun stories. If you want some solid Silver Age Aquaman, go buy this book!

Out now at all good bookstores. ISBN: 978-1-4012-1223-0

(And then write to DC: Dan Didio, Executive Editor, DC Comics, 1700 Broadway, New York NY 10019 and ask for a reprint of Aquaman's Golden Age tales.)
