Classic Justice League cover, with the team battling Starro. Aquaman's position is prominent, right under the issue title on the right-hand side, struggling with one of Starro's arms and appearing to hover over the distant cityscape.
Aquaman is the first to learn of the threat of Starro via Peter, a puffer fish. He summons the Justice League through a device in his belt. At headquarters, he updates them on the situation and they break up to tackle the various threats. Later, Aquaman helps make the connection between quicklime and killing starfish.
Aquaman's gloves are yellow in this tale, and it's the same month that the yellow gloves made their last appearance in his solo stories.

On the cover, Aquaman is clutched in the right hand of the attacking robot, using a sledgehammer to try to break himself free.
Aquaman is shown outracing a motorboat as he responds to Snapper's emergency signal and heads to the sanctuary. Aquaman and J'onn are picked to team up, and head to Panama. Aquaman and his sea allies distract and hold the giant robot until J'onn can defeat Xotar's weapon. The whole team then goes to Alaska to fight Xotar's last weapon, an illusion maker that gets them to fight each other. Aquaman is attacked by a non-existent sea serpent that ignores his commands.
Aquaman's gloves are green in this story.
