The Operative sneaks into Manta's headquarters and opens a safe with his artifact, then escapes with help from his grandson, who is flying The Living Room, his plane.
Mera tells Shin that she doesn't believe him, but Shin points out that Aquaman never told her about the Others.
Aquaman and Manta fight in the streets of Heidelberg. In a flashback we see the death of Tom Curry and Aquaman's attack on Manta's boat that killed Manta's father. Ya'wara and Prisoner-of-War try to protect people while keeping Aquaman from killing Manta. However, Manta steals Ya'wara's globe and uses it to teleport to Dr. Shin's home.

This issue features a 1:25 B&W variant wraparound cover.
On his deathbed, Tom Curry asks Arthur to do something, but the reader doesn't know what. Manta's father fired a harpoon gun at Aquaman after Aquaman had boarded their boat, and Aquaman broke his neck. Manta arrives just in time to see it.
Despite the preview text, Vostok isn't in this issue.
