Aquaman "Setting Sun": On the surface, this is a story of vengeance and forgiveness, but it's really a tale of hypocrisy and rape. Everything Arthur condemns in Demon Gate specifically and the Japanese in general he does himself. While they kill and mutilate sea creatures because they do not recognize such as being as "worthy" as humans, Arthur essentially rapes the computer intelligence of Poseidonis because it is not as "worthy" as organic life like himself. The story seems resolved when Arthur grants mercy to Demon Gate, but it won't really be over until he accepts judgment for his own actions this day. I sincerely hope PAD won't let me down, that this issue will be addressed soon. Even if Arthur won't admit to himself that he did a great wrong, it's obvious J'onn knows this and may force Arthur to consider his own hypocrisy more carefully...he admits it was a terrible thing he did, but he does not seem to realize it was the SAME thing that was done to Porm. Yet.
