OVERVIEW:
Aquaman has Vulko strengthen his new hook. Porm is captured by Japanese Dolphin hunters, one of the dolphins she was with flies off into the air. Aquaman goes to visit Admiral Strom to find out why he let Charybdis capture Aquaman and Aqualad. After fighting Superboy, Aquaman, Garth (Aqualad), and Dolphin get to see Strom, who tells Aquaman about Porm's plight.
COMMENTS:
There is much more humor in this issue than in previous ones, if that's possible. Still, with a guest star like Superboy, I don't think you can expect much else. And Aquaman does get to teach Superboy a thing or two about dealing with the underwater crowd. Yeah, great fish jokes, SB.
The ending to this one is a bit hard to read. Strom knows exactly how to deflate the triumphant Aquaman, and does it almost too effectively for my tastes.
The art in this one is inconsistent, and sometimes pretty bad. The Aquaman/Superboy fight scenes are the most visually interesting bits of the book.
CONCLUSION:
Not really worth getting. It's an ok filler issue, but not much more.
