COMMENTS:
Part of the Day of Judgment crossover. I don't know much about the crossover, except that it involves the legions of dead coming back and creating a hellish Earth. So that leviathan with many many teeth that Aquaman is battling on the cover is probably a creature from the pit of despair itself. Is that thing on Aquaman's left arm supposed to be his super-presto-chango new hand? It looks really silly, whatever it is. Like Aquaman wants to be a Klingon, but couldn't figure out what the proper shape of a bat'leth is. The figure of Aquaman itself is pretty warped. His chest is super-huge and his waist is simply tiny. His legs appear almost proper, but only compared to the rest of his body. Aquaman's face is visible, but at the cost of good sense. Just what is Aquaman looking at? Something over the leviathan's shoulder, apparently. Eric Battle has a preoccupation with bubbles, I think. This time, his bubbles are colored nicely red, but they are the same as the bubbles on most of his other covers. Distracting, overdone, and annoying.
Review of the story will come when I read it. It won't be anytime soon.
