FILMATION AQUAMAN CARTOON EPISODE GUIDE with summaries

Picture: Aquaman calling for help.

One year after the debut of his Saturday morning series, Superman, the Man of Steel, returned to CBS in this hour-long fantasy/adventure series which also featured Aquaman, King of the Seven Seas, his teen-aged sidekick Aqualad, Mera (who is incorrectly referred to as an "Atlantean girl" in the series), and Aqualad's pet walrus, Tusky. Also featured are the Aqua-duo's sea horses, Storm and Imp. Six seven-minute cartoons were rotated during each broadcast.

Two episodes each of Superman and Aquaman were shown, along with two episodes of "Superboy", which alternated with "Guest Star" cartoons which featured DC heroes The Flash, Hawkman, the Atom, The Green Lantern, The Teen Titans (sans Robin), and the Justice League of America. These cartoons were later rebroadcast as part of the "Aquaman" syndicated series in 1968. A Filmation Production. Color. One hour. Run: Sept. 9, 1967-Sept. 7, 1968, on CBS.

Edited versions of the shows appear on the Superman/Batman show, first aired on USA Network in 1997, and currently airing on Cartoon Network.
