OVERVIEW:

Aquaman tries to save Dolphin while Koryak tries to find his mother. His mother, however, is in a meeting with Geia and can't be disturbed.

Aquaman and Koryak pledge no mercy for the Deep Six.

Garth's "Tula" turns out to be a mermaid/sharkmaid named Letifos, who is not happy that he's bothering her, and neither are her people, who capture him.

The Deep Six, meanwhile, have captured Kako, and are trying to infuse her with the darkness of Apocalypse.

Arthur and Kory fight the guards to get to her.

Atlantis has a major earthquake.

Arthur and Kory win their battles, and Kory goes to kill the rest. Dolphin and Arthur join him.

The sharkpeople tie up Garth and leave him to the mercy of the deadly whirlpool of death.

Arthur, Dolphin, and Koryak find Kako and free her from the tank of evil, at which point her new nature, a fire elemental, manifests itself.

COMMENTS:

Kako's discussion with Geia is very revealing.

And Garth... poor Garth...

A bit of the battle is kind of left out, when Kory, Aquaman, and Dolphin are re-entering the cave. How did they get past the three who came out to meet them?

Kako's first words as Corona seem... odd. Considering her nature.

CONCLUSION:

Don't pick this one up unless you've got issue #6.
