OVERVIEW:

An utterly exhausted Aquaman finally goes to S.T.A.R. labs for a check-up at Mission's prodding. The Doctor prescribes rest, with sedatives, and a better diet. Mission makes sure Aquaman follows Doctor's orders, and Aquaman finally sleeps after all the adventures he's been going through.

A sea serpent goes into New York harbor and scares a boat loaded with tourists. One tourist, a cop, fires repeatedly at the monster, making it angry. It swamps the boat then starts picking up passengers and setting them back down. Mission runs to wake up Aquaman.

Aquaman leads the beast out into the open sea, and then fights it for awhile. It's person arrives, and she's not happy with Aquaman for attacking Peli, the sea serpent. Her name is Derea, and she tells Aquaman that he called the serpent to him in his sleep.

Aquaman is called back to Poseidonis. Though he doesn't know it yet, King Thesily has decided that Aquaman is not suitable to be an Ambassador.

COMMENTS:

It started out quite promising, with Aquaman finally getting the rest he needs so badly. Of course, something had to ruin it for him. Most people wouldn't buy a book of just pictures of Aquaman sleeping.

Lots of fighting with the sea serpent. The girl, Derea, is from the magical undersea city of Thierna Na Oge.

CONCLUSION:

Rating: 7

Another Ok story.
