OVERVIEW:

Aquaman can't breathe, and Biff saves him. Aquaman confronts Dr. Percy, and shock troops attack the Sea Devils. The Newscasters output is jammed so there will be no witnesses. Aquaman and Biff are attacked next, and Aquaman recognizes Oumlandian shock troops as the culprits.

There is a bunch of fighting, with Aquaman controlling birds to attack the troops. Dane is captured by the enemy, who admit the whole thing was a set-up to discredit the Sea Devils. Dane escapes with Biff's help and they destroy the jammer so the feed can be broadcast.

The captured Oumlandian troopers die when devices in their helmets explode, then the ship that brought in Dr. Percy explodes. Someone doesn't want anyone to blab.

Aquaman and the Sea Devils manage to stop the oil eaters, and Aquaman arrives back in New York just in time for the vote. Poseidonis is accepted and Aquaman uses his diplomatic immunity to send a message to Merrevale.

The Sea Devils get back together, and Wylie is moved to another position... and in Poseidonis, King Thesily hears of Aquaman's exploits and gets angry.

COMMENTS:

This cover is the most striking of the entire series so far.

An Ok ending to a mediocre story.

Minister F'ancha is the one who reports Aquaman's exploits to King Thesily. Vulko tries to calm the king but fails.

CONCLUSION:

Rating: 6

Ok, but not overwhelmingly so.
